Date: December 9, 2024

At LicensePlateFacts.com, we are committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of others. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy outlines how we handle copyright infringement claims and the process for submitting a takedown notice.

If you believe that any content on our site infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure outlined below to submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice.

1. Notification of Infringement

To file a DMCA takedown notice, please provide the following information to us at admin@licenseplatefacts.com:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material on the site, with sufficient detail to allow us to locate it. Please include the URL(s) of the infringing content.
  4. Your contact information, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the material in question is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  7. Your signature, either physical or electronic.

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will promptly investigate the claim and remove or disable access to the infringing content.

2. Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content has been removed in error or that you have the right to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification. To file a counter-notification, please send the following to admin@licenseplatefacts.com:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your location, or in the Northern District of Texas if your address is outside the United States.
  5. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or an agent of that person.
  6. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will reinstate the content in question unless the original complainant files a court action to prevent the reinstatement.

3. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
